Baptism - A preparation program for Parents is required prior to the Baptism of an infant or young child. The evening session is generally held the first Wednesday of each month in the Pastoral Center. However the date is occasionally changed due to conflicts with other events. Pre-registration is required. Call the Pastoral Center, (315) 782-6086, for further information. It may be helpful for you to fill-out a Baptism Registration Form in advance of your call to the Pastoral Center or soon after. You can download a blank form by clicking here.
A comprehensive Religious Education program is provided for children in kindergarten through tenth grades. For registration information and specifics of meeting dates and times, please contact Mrs. Liz Bamann, Director of Religious Education, by calling the Pastoral Center, 782-6086. Parental participation is required for sacramental preparation for First Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation.
First Eucharist and First Reconciliation:
First Holy Communion at St. Patrick's is held in May. Classes are held for students on Sunday following the 9:30 am Mass. If your child is in the 2nd grade or older and has not received First Communion, please contact Mrs. Bamann at the Pastoral Center as soon as possible to enroll.

The Catholic parishes in Watertown conduct a two year program for Confirmation classes for 9th and 10th grade students attending Watertown High and Immaculate Heart Central. Contact Mrs. Liz Bamann, Director of Religious Education, at 782-6086 for further information. Classes will resume in September.
The 2013 class received the Sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop Terry R. LaValley presiding at St. Patrick's Church. It is the first time our parish hosted Confirmation in many years.
Sacrament of Matrimony - Couples considering marriage should contact Father Robinson or Deacon Mastellon, (315) 782-6086, at least six months in advance of your anticipated wedding date. A pamphlet with our Parish's requirements for a wedding can be downloaded here. It will be helpful to Father if you provide him certain information as early as possible in your planning. Anointing of the Sick - Anointing by Father Robinson or another priest is vailable upon request. Parishioners who are hospitalized must specify when admitted that they are Catholic and belong to St. Patrick's to be certain of a visit from the Chaplain, Priest. Deacon or Lay Minister. Family and friends are encouraged to call the Pastoral Center to make an appointment for an anointing.

The Stages in the Rite of Christian Initiation Process
Inquiry: I have been called to consider this faith community.
Catechumenate: I am received into the period of preparation.
Purification: I examine my life and come to understand my failings.
Enlightenment: I have been called and initiated. "Thank you, Lord."
Mystagogia: I will never learn enough about my God and my Church.
The next period of Inquiry will be this fall, Wednesday evenings September 11, 18 and 25 in the Pastoral Center of St. Patrick's and St. Anthonys. The Pastoral Center is located behind St. Patrick's Church on S. Massey St. Walk-ins are welcome. Each Inquiry session begins at 7:00 pm. Actual classes in preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) will begin in October, 2013.
