The Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Son of God made man lived among us in order to free us from the slavery of sin and to call us out of darkness into his wonderful light. He therefore began his work on earth by preaching repentance and saying: "Repent and believe the Gospel."  (Mk 1:15)

In the sacrament of penance the faithful "obtain from God's mercy pardon for having offended him and at the same time reconciliation with the Church, which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, example and prayer seeks their conversion." (Lumen Gentium 11)

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered Monday through Friday at St. Patrick's before Noon Mass.  A priest is also available in our Reconciliation room on Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

A "good Confession" presumes a "good" examination of conscience.  To help you prepare for the Sacrament, CLICK HERE FOR EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE LINK and to view a short document about Penance.

The furnishing and redecorating are complete in our Pastoral Center of
the rooms to be dedicated to the lasting memory of Leo A. and Mildred K. Piddock Kehoe.
The new conference room table and furnishings for the front parlor were purchased through
the generosity and love of the Kehoe family.

Parish staff had always hoped to upgrade the furnishings in the Pastoral Center first floor
sitting rooms since the renovations. The first major step in that direction came through the generosity of
the Kehoe famly. The family designated a gift to the parish in memory of Leo and
Mildred Kehoe to be used for the furnishing of the conference room and parlor of the Center.

Since the renovations to the building the rooms have been furnished with folding tables  and desk chairs. The setting was hardly the   hospitable gathering area our parishioners desired.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2012, a handcrafted oak conference table, adorned with two inlaid shamrocks,
was delivered by Guy Javarone, his son Guy and craftsman John Tortorello.
Additional furnishings have since been purchased for the front room.

A dedication and reception for the parish was held following Mass on September 29, 2012.
