COMMUNITY ORDINATION CHOIR

Scott A. Belina will be ordained a transitional Deacon
on Friday evening May 25, 2012.

The Ordination, with Bishop Terry LaValley presiding,
will be at 5 p.m, at St. Patrick’s Church, Watertown.

This is a wonderful occasion to celebrate God's loving call to Scott
to serve His people as Deacon and ultimately a Priest in our Church.

A community choir is being formed for the celebration. Come join us.
The choir will be directed by Amy Leone Renzi from St. Anthony's (Scott's home parish)
and Ticia Marra from St. Patrick's will be the principal accompaniest.

You do not have to belong to either parish to join this special choir.
The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30p.m. in St. Patrick’s Church.
The other rehearsals will be on the Wednesdays of May.

Seven join St. Patrick's and St. Anthony's through RCIA

Two adults and four young people received the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil this year at St. Patrick's.

Father Donald Robinson, Pastor, officiated as Kailey and Sean Cockrill, Joseph Butler and Taylor Ritz were baptized.  Each of the newly baptized with Daniel and Laraina Cokrill and Timothy McManimon then received the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist.

RCIA is the Right of Christian Initiation for Adults. Those interested in learning more about the Catholic Christian faith are invited to Inquiry and, if still interested, to continue into a several months process of study, reflection and preparation for reception into the Church.  Contact Fr. Don or Deacon Kevin at the Pastoral Center if you are interested.

   The Stages in the
   Rite of Christian Initiation Process

Inquiry: I have been called to consider this faith community.

Catechumenate: I am received into the period of preparation.

Purification: I examine my life and come to understand my failings.

Enlightenment: I have been called and initiated. "Thank you, Lord."

Mystagogia:  I will never learn enough about my God and my Church.

The next period of Inquiry begins May 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm and continues for the next three Wednesday
evenings in the Pastoral Center of St. Patrick's and St. Anthonys.  The Pastoral Center is located behind
St. Patrick's Church on S. Massey St.   Walk-ins are welcome.

Almost since the remodeling of the former parish rectory to serve as a Pastoral Center
for St. Patrick's, there  has been a desire to upgrade the furnishings in the first floor
sitting rooms. The first major step in that direction came through the generosity of
the Kehoe famly. The family designated a gift to the parish in memory of Leo and
Mildred Kehoe to be used for the furnishing of the conference room and parlor of
  the Center.

Since the renovations to the building the rooms have been furnished with folding tables
and desk chairs. The setting was hardly the hospitable gathering area our parishioners
                                    desired.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2012, a handcrafted oak conference table, adorned
with two inlaid shamrocks, was delivered by Guy Javarone, his son Guy and
craftsman John Tortorello. Additional furnishings will now be purchased
                                                for the front room.

When the furnishing and redecorating are complete, the rooms will be
dedicated  to the lasting memory of Leo A. and Mildred K. Piddock Kehoe
with appreciation  by their parish and the generosity and love of their children.
